Tribological and mechanical properties of lubricant filled microcapsules in thermoplastic composites

چکیده
Polymeric materials with long lifetime and low frictional energy loss are frequently required for a broad range of applications. Microencapsulation lubricating oils by in-situ polymerization (melamine-formaldehyde) interfacial (polyurethane/polyurea) was used to obtain free-flowing powders, which can be as additive thermoplastic resulting in microcapsule-containing self-lubricating composites. The specific functionality such composites is achieved via portioned localised release the lubricant areas interface, experiences highest degrees stress wear due friction. Friction-triggered on-demand oil results higher resistance potentially leading new products prolonged lifetime. In this study, different ratios microcapsules were added polyoxymethylene (POM) polybutylterephthalat (PBT) matrices using laboratory scale twin-screw extruder composite materials. effect modification on tribological mechanical properties investigated. Rotational ball disc tests investigate coefficient friction varied microcapsule concentrations. Tensile revealed decreased stability content regardless wall material composition. Addition 5 wt.- % encapsulated led substantial decrease coefficients. Further increase 10 wt.-% had major decreasing impact properties, whilst performance rather small.

Rheological and Mechanical Properties of Ultra-fine Cellulose-Filled Thermoplastic Epoxy Composites
Thermoplastic epoxy resin (TPER)-based composites containing different amounts of ultra-fine cellulose (UFC) were prepared via melt compounding and injection molding. The effect of UFC loading on the mechanical properties and dynamic rheological behavior of the UFC-filled TPER composites was analyzed. The UFC-filled composites displayed higher complex viscosities than those of the neat TPER com...

Thermal behaviors of wheat straw flour (WF) filled thermoplastic compositeswere measured applying the thermogravimetric analysis and differential scanningcalorimetry. Morphology and mechanical properties were also studied using scanningelectron microscope and universal testing machine, respectively. Presence of WF inthermoplastic matrix reduced the degradation temperature of the composites. One...
